Processes Involved in Project Integration Management

Project management can be a very challenging task to deal with.  It requires proper way of coordinating the different aspects of the project.  This is done through project integration management because if things are not managed properly, it may compromise the success of the project.

Everyone who deals with a project needs to know the processes involved.  Here are seven of the most effective ones:

1.Charter project development – this marks the beginning of the project.  Team members and the team manager are selected based on their skills.

2.Defining the initial scope statement –it is highly important to define the scope of a project.  This is done in the beginning of the project so as to clarify the outputs or deliverables that can be expected.

3.Project plan development – details of all aspects of the project is defined in this process.  This should be approved by the management.

4.Project implementation – execution of plans should be well managed so that the project outcome will be successful.

5.Project monitoring - this is the part where the project manager should be keen in overseeing the progress of the entire project. Any change needed must be done at this point.

6.Controlling change – this is where changes implemented are carefully observed if they are effective or not.

7.Closure – this marks the end of the project.  There should be no other pending transactions with the vendors.  All documentations should be archived.
